The invitation suite you choose is such an important element of your entire wedding picture.  As with choosing a theme/style, your invitations should be a reflection of you as a couple and the type of celebration you have planned for your guests – whether it be an intimate gathering, a whimsical fête or an elegant ball, your beautifully designed suite will let your guests know what to expect and of course, provide all the important details for your big day.

Colour, texture, font choices, whimsical or elegant, letter press, gold foil….the choices are endless!  But if you have a theme in mind, let that be your guide…or do things in reverse, pick a beautiful design that you love and use your invitation suite as the inspiration for all other wedding elements.   Have fun with the process!

Remember, invitations should be sent out six to eight weeks before the wedding. Set requested RSVP time for three weeks prior to the wedding date at the very LATEST (if some of your guests have not replied within this time period, give them a call to confirm).

Looking to save a little money on your stationery?  Remember that “Save-the-Date” cards are not a must for local weddings (unless you’re having your wedding on a holiday-weekend or a weekday) therefore, you could skip them if necessary.  “Thank You” cards however, are a must and should ideally be sent out within three months of the wedding day.  And if you are looking for a little guidance on how to best word your invitations, check out this great etiquette guide from Bella Figura for lots of helpful tips!

Have a great week and happy shopping!! xo
