Created by wedding planner and designer Joy Proctor, Trousseau & Co. is a delicate and perfect line of “trousseau’s”, also historically referred to as “wedding trunks”, which blushing brides would use to store and carry their most important wedding day items.

Inspired by old hat boxes, Trousseau & Co.‘s chic carry-alls are beautifully lined in velvet and come with pockets and plenty of space for chic brides to transport their treasures, be it jewels, lingerie or that perfect pair of heels.

Each trousseau can be customized with classic brass initials and the softest shades of blush (my favorite!), creme or taupe.  Gold hardware and a sturdy construction make them perfect for storing your most beautiful things for years to come.

I absolutely LOVE a beautiful accessory.  A gorgeous sash, the perfect clutch or a chic pair of earrings can kick your wedding day look up a few notches.  Enter Camilla Christine, a contemporary collection of bridal jewelry and accessories created by long time friends Joanna and Jennifer.  With a love for fashion and design and a background in retail, this creative duo decided to join forces to start a beautiful line of sparkly and affordable pieces for lovely brides looking for something timeless and unique.

As you know, when I find something I love…I share!  When I spotted their new rose gold collection on Instagram, I knew I wanted to showcase some of these ultra-feminine and delicate pieces.  I also asked Joanna and Jennifer to share a little bit of their creative process with us, as I always love to learn about the behind-the-scenes action!  Here is what they had to say…

YOUR PIECES ARE SO BEAUTIFUL AND UNIQUE.  WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE PLACES TO FIND INSPIRATION?

J&J: Honestly, we get inspiration from everywhere, not just from one place.  Initially, when we sit down to plan and assort the line, we look at high-end designers (bridal runways and editorial shoots).  We love interpreting major bridal trends into wearable and affordable pieces for the everyday bridal consumer.  Additionally, with all the social media outlets for visual and verbal communication available these days, inspiration can be found everywhere – a cool photo, a blog post, pictures of a real-life weddings, etc.  There is no limit to what can be found online these days!  Sometimes we get inspiration from the little things too – the smallest bit of beading or a random trim can later be reinterpreted into a wedding accessory.  Lastly, we often get inspiration from friends and acquaintances that are getting married and ask us to make a custom piece for their big day.  In fact, many of our styles are named after the friends who inspired the piece!

COULD YOU GIVE US A LITTLE INSIGHT INTO THE PROCESS OF WORKING WITH BRIDES TO CREATE CUSTOM PIECES?

J&J:  We love making custom pieces for brides!  Having been brides ourselves, we understand the importance of your wedding day.  So we always accommodate the request for a custom order if we are physically able to fulfill what a bride is looking for.  Most brides provide us with good direction as to what they want and we really try to stay true to it while maintaining our overall aesthetic.  There is no better feeling than creating a piece that is perfectly suited to that particular bride and her vision of her once-in-a-lifetime wedding day.  The best is when we see their wedding day photos afterwards!  Working so closely with a bride is beneficial for us as well as we also learn a lot about what customers are looking for.

WHAT DO YOU LOVE MOST ABOUT DESIGNING BEAUTIFUL PIECES FOR SUCH SPECIAL OCCASIONS?

J&J:  We definitely love the creative aspect.  It is really rewarding to start with an idea and end with a tangible product. We both have a major appreciation for beautiful things, mostly embroidered, embellished or whimsical textures. It really doesn’t get any better than being in the bridal business.  We can’t think of any other industry that would allow us to work with such pretty things, so this really is a dream!  Plus, weddings are happy and designing for brides is fun!  We’ve only ever met wonderful and kind brides.  At the end of the day, that is what it is all about.
